To successfully register and publish a book on Amazon from scratch, follow these steps:

Write your book
First, write and edit your book. Ensure it’s of high quality and meets the standard of the genre you’re writing for.

Create an Amazon KDP account
Go to kdp.amazon.com, and create a Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) account. If you already have an Amazon account, you can use those credentials to log in.

Add your book details
After logging in, you’ll be taken to the KDP dashboard. Click on “Create a New Title” and enter the title, author name, book description, and other relevant details.

Upload your book
Upload your book in either a Word document or PDF format. Amazon KDP also offers formatting tools to help you format your book properly.

Choose your book’s categories and keywords
Choose the categories and keywords that best describe your book. This helps readers find your book when they search for similar titles.

Set the price of your book
Set the price of your book. You can choose from two pricing models: the 35% royalty model or the 70% royalty model. The 70% royalty model requires your book to be priced between $2.99 and $9.99. Whereas the 35% royalty can accommodate up to $250 of price tag on your book.

Publish your book
Once you’ve completed all the necessary steps, click on “Publish Your Kindle eBook” to publish your book on Amazon.

Promote your book
To increase visibility and sales, promote your book by running ads, creating a book trailer, reaching out to book bloggers and reviewers, and leveraging social media platforms.
